Early Wednesday morning, officers from the Plymouth Police Department attempted to serve an arrest warrant on 7th Street and the suspect fled on foot.

About 1:30 a.m., Plymouth Police arrived at 729 North Seventh Street to serve an arrest warrant on Justin Nathan Langley, 46, who lives at the address.

When police arrived on the scene, Langley fled on foot from the residence and was tracked to a separate room inside a garage. With assistance from the Marshall County K9 Unit, he was taken into custody without incident.

Langley was transported to the Marshall County Jail and lodged for multiple active felony arrest warrants from Fulton County for dealing in methamphetamine.  He received a new charge for resisting due to his actions Wednesday morning.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
