A Plymouth man is sitting in the Marshall County Jail with criminal charges of possession of a legend drug, and two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Saturday morning, October 6th at approximately 2:15, Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop near Sixth and LaPorte Streets after observing multiple traffic violations. During the traffic stop, the driver was identified as Michael Loftus, 42-years-old of Freeman Street in Plymouth.
Loftus had legend drugs and was intoxicated. His blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit.
Michael Loftus was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in with pending criminal charges of felony possession of a legend drug, felony operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, and misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated over .15.
