Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Jack Garner updated citizens on some impactful winter weather that appears possible in Marshall County Wednesday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued and will be in effect from 5 p.m. Wednesday through 1 a.m. Friday. The majority of this snow will come from the lake effect, which adds a layer of unpredictability to this event. As of this morning, the National Weather Service has put southern parts of Marshall County in the 2" area, while further north is expected to see more, such as Bremen, which is under the 6" color on the map.
Garner said, “Wind is an even bigger concern here, with gusts up to 50 mph possible. If we receive the forecasted snow, this could cause blowing snow and whiteout conditions. The wind will also help drop wind chills below 0 tomorrow morning.”
