Plymouth Mayor Robert Listenberger welcomed over 1,000 visitors to River Park Square Friday evening for the first of ten free concerts for the Mayor’s Summer of Music series.
Before introducing the band the mayor took time to thank former mayor Mark Senter for creating River Park Square and starting the free concert series. Mayor Listenberger surprised Senter inviting him up front on the Senter Stage and honoring him with a key to the city.

Whereas,
The Honorable Mayor Mark Senter has dedicated his life to this community here in Plymouth, Indiana. Throughout his 16 years as Mayor, Mark has demonstrated his devotion and love for this community; and
Whereas,
In those 16 years Mark has made a big difference in the lives of many people throughout our community; and
Whereas,
Mark served with the Indiana State Police for 28 years, of which 21 of those years working as a detective. While with ISP, Mark was a five-year member of the Indiana State Police Meth Lab Team, and nine-year member of the Critical Incident Management Team; and
Whereas,
Mark loves to refer to our beautiful River Park Square as his “baby”, and he should always be remembered for this great accomplishment. In 2023, the Stage located at River Park Square pays gratitude to him by its name “Senter Stage”; and
Whereas,
Plymouth Indiana is very fortunate to not only have Mayor Mark Senter, but also his wife, Leanne Senter. Leanne has coached, mentored, and volunteered in our community; and
Whereas,
Mark and Leanne Senter, together, chose Plymouth to raise a family and are the proud parents of daughter Megan and son Riley and daughter-in-law Brooke. They enjoy the Grandparenting role to Lena; and
Now, Therefore, I, Robert Listenberger, by the virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor, and on behalf of the entire City Council and all of our citizens, do hereby present the Key to the City of Plymouth to Mark Senter for many, many years of a job well done and wish Mark the best in all of his future endeavors.
