Plymouth Fire responds to King Road structure fire Wednesday evening

On Wednesday, January 22, at 8:54 p.m. the Plymouth Fire Department responded to a two-story structure fire on King Road, north of U.S. 30.

Firefighters entered the home and quickly knocked the fire down, keeping the damage contained to the first floor, although there was smoke damage throughout the home.

Approximately 750 gallons of water were used, and no injuries were reported. Three guinea pigs and one rabbit were saved, while two gerbils perished in the fire.

The Plymouth Fire Department was on the scene for about an hour and 15 minutes with SR-17, the chief’s vehicle; engine 7; medics 2; tanker 4; tanker 6; and brush 11. No mutual aid was required.
