Plymouth Police arrested one person for operating while intoxicated after being dispatched to a verbal argument.
Wednesday morning at about 2:30 officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to 408 Pierce Street to investigate the report of a verbal argument. Officers were made aware the male involved was nearby in a vehicle. While officers were en route they were told the vehicle had left the residence and the male driver was intoxicated.
Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle driving near Lake Avenue and Sycamore Street.
Officer Mark conducted an investigation and determined that 33-year-old Cesar Chavez Rangel from the 300 block of South Walnut Street in Plymouth was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Chavez Rangel was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating while intoxicated over .15%. He was held on a $1500.00 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.
