Plymouth Police arrested another citizen who was found driving without a license.

On Wednesday, March 26th, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Officer Fase conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Pierce and Gilmore Streets. The stop was for a random vehicle registration check that showed the registered owner was unlicensed.

The driver of the vehicle was confirmed to be Yaritza Contreras-Montes, 44, of South Walnut Street in Plymouth, who was also the registered owner.

The officer confirmed that Contreras-Montes had never been issued a valid driver's license and took her into custody. She was transported to the Marshall County Jail, booked in for operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license, and held on a $100 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
