Yesterday the Plymouth Police Department released details of the arrest of a Plymouth woman that happened on January 31st.
30-year-old Tania Ruiz was taken into custody for a Failure to Appear warrant at 11:15 a.m. at 881 Lincolnway East.
Ruiz’s original charges were reckless driving for passing a stopped school bus with the stop arm extended, an A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a driver’s license, a C misdemeanor.
Tania Ruiz was transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
