Potawatomi Wildlife Park, in collaboration with the Marshall County Extension Office and with support from Marshall County Soil & Water, applied for an Arrow Head Country RCD grant to develop an Interactive Forestry & Pollinator Trail along the ridge overlooking the Bessinger Pavilion.
Lacey Pfeiffer, Park Manager, said, “We’re thrilled to announce we’ve been awarded a $4,000 grant for this project! We are excited to accept the grant on April 1, 2025, at the Pulaski County Public Library.”
The trail will feature five interactive stops, each with a planted tree and an informational display highlighting its characteristics, ecological significance, and a featured pollinator plant. This project will serve as a valuable educational resource for schools, families, and nature enthusiasts while inspiring youth to explore forestry, pollinator conservation, and 4-H programs in natural sciences.
