It is sometimes said that sugar is “toxic” or “addictive,” and it is often blamed as the sole culprit in obesity and diabetes.

Understanding what kind of sugar is in our food and how much is important when determining just how sweet it is!

Karen Richey, Health and Human Science Educator with Purdue Extension will host a program at the Marshall County Council on Aging Life Enrichment Center at 1305 West Harrison Street in Plymouth on September 11 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. To learn more about how sugar can affect your brain and body, register by calling 574-936-9904 by September 6. This program is free to the public.

For more information regarding this program, contact Karen Richey at 574-935-8545 or krichey@purdue.edu.
