Scott Pearish from Walkerton arrested after traffic stop

On Saturday evening, August 3rd, at approximately 11:20 pm, a Plymouth Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street, near Beerenbrook Street for an equipment and moving violation. 

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Scott Pearish, 60, of Walkerton.  During the traffic stop, K9 Castor alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.  During the vehicle search suspected methamphetamine and marijuana were located in addition to paraphernalia. 

Scott Pearish was suspected of being impaired and was transported to the hospital for further testing.  After the testing, Pearish was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, operating while intoxicated on a controlled substance, and possession of synthetic urine. 

 

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
