Speeding Philadelphia driver arrested for not having a driver's license

An early morning traffic stop by Plymouth Police on a speeding vehicle ended with a Philadelphia man being arrested.

At approximately 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 6th, Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a vehicle driving at 80 mph in a posted 50 mph zone on U.S. 30 at Pioneer Drive. 

The driver was identified as Shahabeddin Deek, 34, of Philadelphia, was found to have never received a license. He was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked in for Operator Never Licensed.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
