It was a busy Thanksgiving holiday for the Plymouth Police Department with multiple arrests.

On Wednesday, November 27th, at 4 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the Kroger parking lot on a vehicle whose registered owner had been suspended prior and had a warrant out of Elkhart County. The registered owner and driver was identified as Amber Watts, 28, of South Bend. Watts was arrested for driving while suspended prior and for a warrant out of Elkhart County. She was transported to Marshall County jail and given a court date and bond.

At 7 p.m. last Wednesday, witnesses called 911 and reported a reckless driver on U.S. 31 northbound. Officer Witkowski observed the vehicle traveling over 100 mph weaving in and out of traffic and passing cars on the shoulder. Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop and after a brief pursuit, were able to apprehend the suspect. 32-year-old Alyshia Kiser-Burgess of Indianapolis was found with 4 open containers in the vehicle.  She was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, and reckless driving. Kiser-Burgess was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in with a cash bond.

Early Thanksgiving morning at 12:35 Officer Fase with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to 2739 Briarwood Avenue for a possible domestic situation.  During his investigation, it was determined that Robert Blevins, 45, of Plymouth had an active warrant for his arrest.  Blevins was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, booked for the new domestic charge and held with no bond on the warrant.

At about 10:30 on Thanksgiving morning, a city police officer initiated a traffic stop on a black Dodge Avenger traveling south on Fifth Street.  The driver, 37-year-old Ruben Dario Alaniz Medina of Plymouth, was found to be operating the vehicle without having ever obtained a driver’s license.  He was held in the Marshall County Jail on a cash bond.

Thanksgiving evening at about 8:45 officers with the Plymouth Police Department assisted the Marshall County Sheriff's Department on a traffic stop in the Advanced Auto parking lot. The vehicle was stopped for disregarding a traffic control device at Michigan Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail. The driver, Roberto Pereira-Turino, 46, of Plymouth had never obtained a driver's license. City officers took Pereira-Turino in custody and transported him to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for operator never licensed.
