Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Thursday afternoon, November 14th, at about 4:45 p.m., because the registered owner's license was suspended, and the plates expired.

The driver and registered owner stopped at the Speedway Gas Station on North Michigan Street for the traffic stop.

Michael Carver, 29, of Tippecanoe, was taken into custody for driving while suspended. The vehicle's plates were expired, and it did not have insurance.

Carver was transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for driving while suspended with a prior and held on a $500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
