Update: Marshall County Police provided a few more details on the vehicle-pedestrian accident that happened last Friday night on North Michigan Road near 2C Road, south of LaPaz.
Origional article: The driver of the vehicle was a 17-year-old juvenile. The accident victim is Jackie L. Stump from LaPaz.
On Friday, March 17, (2023) at approximately 11:10 p.m. the Marshall County 911 Central Dispatch Center received a call about a vehicle that had collided with a pedestrian on Michigan Road on the south side of LaPaz around 2C Road.
County Police have not yet released the name of the driver of the vehicle that was heading north to Lakeville when he collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian was alert and responsive at the scene but sustained multiple injuries. He was transported to Memorial Hospital for his injuries. Police are not releasing the name of the victim.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
This accident remains under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
