Amy L. Dixon, 61, of Berrien Springs

Amy L. Dixon, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on June 15, 1963, in Melrose Park, Illinois, she was the daughter of Paul and Ruth (Hoover) Overhulser. She attended Penn High School, graduating with the class of 1981. On August 11, 1987, in a beautiful ceremony in Mishawaka, Amy married James Allen Dixon, he preceded her in death on September 22, 2019.

Amy worked as a Junior Underwriter for Mortgage Companies for over 40 years. A woman with unconditional love that had no boundaries. Amy was extremely loyal, family oriented, selfless, a provider and the greatest crown worn was caregiver to her husband and her family who had her whole heart.

Amy enjoyed reading romance and mystery books, playing uno, listening to country music and spending time working on her bead by number Diamond Art.

She is survived by her son Jimmy (Sandra) Dixon of South Carolina; daughters: Kendra Dixon of South Carolina; April (Josh Roberts) Dixon of Berrien Springs, MI; Rebecca (Jimmy) Dixon-Spencer of Goshen, IN; grandchildren: Jesse Dixon, Charles Petrosky, Samantha Dixon, Michael Dixon, Blake Bayne, Honesty Bayne, Kaylin Dawson, Arianna Dawson, CJ Dawson, Levi Fink, Kensley Roberts, Abby Spencer, Aden Gibbs, Ethan Gibbs, Blaine Spencer; great-grandchildren: Aiden Monday, Tate Dixon, Frayah Dixon, Elias Affrisea; sisters: Zoe (Robert) Burns of Osceola, IN; Paula (Kenneth) McBrier of Elkhart, IN; Beth (Brian) York of Niles, MI; Jane (Doug) Balmer of Mishawaka, IN; Paul (Samantha) Overhulser of Mishawaka, IN.

Amy is preceded death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 11-1 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Skip Maccarty officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
