Beverly J. (Neidigh, Curtis) Jones age 91 passed away on May 8, 2022, in Noblesville, IN.
Bev was born in March of 1931 in Charleston West Virginia and raised in Plymouth, IN where she made her home for over 65 years. Bev was involved in her church, Trinity United Methodist, where she taught Sunday school and was on the administrative board. While in Plymouth, Bev was actively involved in Tri-Kappa. Her work career consisted of a variety of positions: bank teller, physician's office, special education aide and a secretary for the school system. In 1980, Bev was elected as the Plymouth City-Clerk Treasurer position which she held for 16 years. In this job she flourished with her strong work ethic. After retirement, Bev took a year off to do some DIY work on her home, which she enjoyed doing. She soon felt the urge to travel and began working with American Dream Tours traveling the U.S. and Canada on bus trips. Bev even opted to take a trip to the British Isles with her niece, Sharon, and a group of teachers.
In 2000, Bev rekindled a friendship with Bob Jones who became her husband the following year. Bev and Bob moved to Noblesville, IN where they made a life together blending families and meeting new friends through involvement in their church, First Presbyterian Church of Noblesville. Bev and Bob spent the first several years of their marriage traveling.
Bev loved to seasonally redecorate her home and passed this on to her daughters. She was a good seamstress and altered every piece of clothing she owned. Bev enjoyed simple things such as watching birds in her yard and working in her flower garden. She was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. Laughter was always part of family gatherings in northern Indiana and Florida. Bev loved her family, and this was evident through her kindness and supportive nature. Bev loved bright colors and would want this worn at her funeral.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Jones of Noblesville, two daughters Kathy (Patrick) Newell of Spring Lake, MI, and Susan (Bill) Shorter of Noblesville, and two siblings Robert (Jan) Neidigh of Nappanee, IN and Carol (John) Faber of Plymouth IN. She was preceded in death by many family members, and Glen Curtis whom she was married to for 27 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 11-1 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Life Celebrant James Smart and Dan Faber.
