
Bonnie J. Hathaway, 80, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Plymouth, IN.
Bonnie was born to Joe and Bertha (Whitesell) Kuchel on April 8, 1944 in Plymouth, IN. She was a lifelong resident of the Plymouth area. She married Donel Hathaway on February 1, 1969 and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2024. She worked with clients at Marshall-Starke Development Center and Manpower services. She was a Methodist. She loved her dogs, and enjoyed being outdoors, sitting on her pier in the evenings, gardening, fishing, canning and was an avid fan of Colts football. She also enjoyed working with her clients and she dearly loved her grandchildren.
Bonnie will be dearly missed by her daughter, Angie (James) Shively of Mishawaka; her son: Todd (Charlotte) Kuchel of Argos; her grandchildren: Blaque Kuchel; Bryant (Stephanie) Kuchel; Bailey Kuchel; Bruce Fosler; Laura (Tyler) Speirs; Collin Keefer and Mackenzie Keefer; and her great-grandchildren: Brenna Kuchel; Kylie Kuchel; Cooper Kuchel; Laylah Abair; Weston Speirs; and Milo Blu Campbell; her twin sister, Jo Anne Hanthorn of Warsaw, IN; and her half-sister, JoEllen Cimoch of South Bend, IN.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bertha Kuchel; her husband, Donel Hathaway; her brothers: Charles LeRoy Kuchel; and Frank Eugene Kuchel; and her half-sisters: Alice Stiles; and Emily Watts.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN).
A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Kristin Harp officiating.
The burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).
