Dr. William M. Record, DDS, 75, of Plymouth

Plymouth - Dr. William M. Record, DDS passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025 at Wampler’s Senior Home in Bourbon IN. Born on January 3, 1950 in Frankfort IN, he was the beloved son of Robert and Virginia (Lineberry) Record.

 Bill was united in marriage to Kathy Mason on June 10, 1972 in Frankfort IN. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter while raising their four children: Mark, Matt, Evan and Amy. Bill instilled in them compassion, loyalty, accountability, and much love among many other values. 

Dr. Record dedicated 42 years to the practice of dentistry, leaving an indelible mark on the community he served. He was an alumnus of Butler University and Indiana University School of Dentistry. Bill’s higher education sparked a lifelong passion for Butler Mens Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. He cherished the memories created during countless weekends in Indianapolis attending games and enjoying time spent with family and friends. He found great happiness on the golf course with his golfing buddies, most likely driving o of the tees at Swan Lake Golf Club in Plymouth IN.

 Known for his calm demeanor and infectious laugh, Bill appreciated and loved his sta immensely. Doc had a unique ability to connect with his patients always greeting them with kindness, a smile, and a gentle pat on the back. His love for people made each day at work a fulfilling experience, and he touched the lives of many with his genuine spirit.

 Bill is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy Mason Record; their beloved children: Mark (Shelly) Record of Plymouth, Matt (Andrea) Record of Noblesville IN, Evan (Kasey) Record of Plymouth, and Amy Record of Indianapolis; and his cherished grandchildren: Lucas, Madelyn, Oliver, William, Micah, and Emmelynn. Also surviving is his dear brother-in-law Terry Mason (Nancy Martin) of Frankfort IN and niece Michelle Mason Berg of Palm City FL.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Record, and his sister Martha Record.

 Bill will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth IN.
