Elias Moreno-Arroyo, age 86 of Plymouth, IN, passed away in his home on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
Elias was born on April 21, 1936 to Daniel and Inez (Arroyo) Moreno in Santiago-Capitiro, Mexico. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Plymouth, IN. He married Elisa Rosas Mendez on March 11, 1959. He retired from Plymouth Fertilizer after working there for 40+ years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming his farm in Mexico, raising goats, sheep, cows, and birds, and he loved his dogs.
Elias is survived by his wife, Elisa Rosas Mendez; his daughters: Rosa (Javier) Ramirez of Plymouth, IN; Lupe Moreno (Jesus Arroyo) of Plymouth, IN; his sons: Juan Francisco (Charlene) Moreno of Plymouth, IN; Jose Elias Moreno of Mexico; Rogelio (Brenda) Moreno of Plymouth, IN; Rafael (Rosamaria) Moreno of Plymouth, IN; Javier (Leticia) Moreno of Plymouth, IN; Manuel (Yolanda) Moreno of Plymouth, IN; Juan Carlos (Inez) Moreno of Mexico; his 29 grandchildren; his 32 great-grandchildren; his brothers: Miguel (Rosa Ortiz) Moreno of Mexico; Salvador (Margarita) Moreno of Plymouth, IN; his sisters: Maria De Jesus of Mexico; and Maria De La Luz Arriaga of Plymouth, IN.
Elias is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Inez Moreno.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church (612 N. Walnut St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Funeral Mass will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Father Fernando Jimenez presiding.
