Eugene G. Everly, 89, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in St. Joseph Medical Center of Mishawaka, IN.
Eugene was born on June 29, 1935 to Louis and Mildred (Helterbrand) Everly in Rochester, IN. He married Alice L. Bowers on December 31, 1955 and she survives. He worked for AM General, spray-painting Hummers and military vehicles until his retirement in 2000. He and Alice attended Plymouth Wesleyan Church for 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, gardening, and bird watching.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Alice Everly of Plymouth, IN; his daughter, Connie Baughman of South Bend, IN; his son, Russell Everly of Plymouth, IN; and his granddaughter, Candace Baughman of South Bend, IN.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred Everly; his infant daughter, Linda; his sisters: Carolyn Heath; Eva Lilly; and Mary Hicks; and his brothers: Lewie Everly and Laverne Everly.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
The burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery (US-6, Walkerton, IN 46574).
Memorial donations may be made Plymouth Wesleyan Church Food Pantry (11203 S. Michigan Road, Plymouth, IN 46563).
