James (Jim) M. Hulse, 80, of Plymouth

James (Jim) M. Hulse, 80, of Plymouth, IN went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2024 at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Jim was born in Goshen, IN in 1943. He later settled in South Bend until his move to Plymouth, Indiana in 1982 where he spent the remaining 42 years married to the love of his life Connie (Boudry) raising her 2 children and 3 of their own. Jim was a great father, he never distinguished ours or hers, the 5 were always his. He enjoyed seeing his sons participate in sports, school functions, and the many nightly rides on the 4 wheelers as they grew up.

Those who knew Jim know that he was a hard-working man with many gifts. Jim attended electronic school where he became well versed in paging systems, nurse call systems, and sound systems. He did the wiring in many churches including Notre Dame and other schools. Eventually he started doing tower installations with Pi Rod now known as Valmont. He specialized in AM systems. He was a Veteran, electrician, a fire fighter for 15 years, and a welder. Jim was also an Inventor with four patents.

Jim spent his growing up years “in Church” where he learned at a young age doing for others. He attended Sumrall’s Church in South Bend, IN. and later PWC, and the last many years Plymouth Baptist Church in Plymouth, IN. Jim was involved with missions in his early teen years and until he took his last breath. Jim and Connie, started the non-profit mission organization, Towers For Jesus in 1999. He started building a relationship with Tom King of Kintronic Labs who designed the phasing and needed equipment for radio station builds. For over 20 plus years they followed the calling of the Lord building Christian Radio Stations around the world, along with their 3 youngest children.  Some of the most notable Christian Missions he worked with were HCJB, World Radio Network, Billy Graham Ministry, Trans World Radio, Far East Broadcasting, Paaro Radio in Estonia and Calvary Chapel Network, Radio Glory in the Congo, to name a few. The last major project for Towers For Jesus was in Bonaire for TWR, where he was called to upgrade a prior build at a 100,000-watt Christian station to a more powerful 440,000-watt station with a potential audience of 100 million plus. Over 1/3 of the world can now hear the gospel and good news of Jesus Christ’s word “So All May Hear."   During Jim’s missionary travels he visited over 25 countries, had logged 245 flights and 109 Mission projects. To the Lord be the Glory

Jim is survived by his wife Connie Hulse, and four children, Terry (Brenda) Hulse (Ryan, Katelyn, Lindsay, and LeAnn).
