Joyce A. Yeargin, 73, of Elkhart, formerly of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Woodland Manor of Elkhart.
Joyce was born to Richard and Marjorie (McHargue) Yeargin, Sr. on July 23, 1951 in Plymouth, IN. She grew up in Plymouth, IN and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1969. She worked for Miller’s Merry Manor after high school, as an EMT in Bremen, IN, and in the custodial department for Ackers Plastics and Christian Center School in South Bend, IN. She attended Christ Chapel Church of South Bend, IN. She loved horses, dogs, and cats, especially her last cat, Buttercup. She enjoyed listening to Christian music, she was a big Trace Adkins fan, and she liked to sing in the choir as well as many other places and for funerals. She had a beautiful voice, but was also very stubborn and strong-willed, as was her mother. She will be dearly missed.
Joyce is survived by her sisters: Kathy Yeargin Sensibaugh of Argos, IN; Beverly (Kenneth) Agee of Plymouth, IN; her brother, Richard (Teri) Yeargin of Knox, IN; her mother, Marjorie Yeargin of Plymouth, IN; along with many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Richard Yeargin, Sr., and her grandparents.
Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned.
Memorial donations may be made to Christ Chapel Church (3402 Locust Rd., South Bend, IN 46614) in Joyce’s honor.
The family would like to thank Woodland Manor of Elkhart, IN for the exceptional care they took of Joyce.
