Joyce D. McFarland, age 87 of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, in St. Joseph Medical Center of Mishawaka, IN.
Joyce was born on January 11, 1935, to Otis C. and Irene (Bower) Baker in South Bend, IN. She was a lifelong resident of the Plymouth area. She married Jack McFarland, and they enjoyed 70 years together. She was a homemaker and a cashier at Dave’s Supermarket. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling all the states except New Mexico, California, and Utah. She was a wonderful wife and mother!
Joyce is survived by her husband, Jack McFarland; her daughter, Sharon Newhart of Walkerton, IN; her son, Rick McFarland of Plymouth, IN; her grandchildren: John (Stephanie) Wright; Chad (Becky) Wright; Brad Wright (Tanya Bellanger); Jason McFarland; and Brandon Newhart (Brianna Berry); her 8 great-grandchildren; her 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her sister, Gerry (Eldon) Reed of Plymouth, IN.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Irene Baker; her daughter, Jackie Wright; and her son-in-law, Terrance Newhart.
Memorial donations may be made to Marshall County Hospice and Palliative Care (112 S. Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Cremation has been chosen and services will be scheduled at a later date.
