Kathleen D. Andrzejewski, 70, of South Bend

Kathleen D. Andrzejewski, 70, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, IN.

Kathleen was born to Thomas and Betty (Kerrigan) Parks on October 15, 1953 in Plymouth, IN. She had attended St. Michael Catholic School until 8th grade then graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972. She attended St. Michael Catholic Church of Plymouth, IN. She married Dennis Andrzejewski on July 30, 1977 and he preceded her in death. She worked as a homemaker and EMT for Plymouth, Bremen, Osceola, Lakeville, and LaPaz services.

Kathleen (Chatty Kathy) loved her family and friends and would go without something herself to help a person or animal in need. She particularly loved horses, Golden Retrievers and cats, with cats being her primary pets over the years. Kathleen enjoyed going to church with her family and friends at Christian Center Church, attending various Gospel concerts, visiting Europe and the mountains in Tennessee.

Kathleen is survived by her son, David (Misty) Andrzejewski of Culver, IN; her grandchildren: Kyra (Matthew) Reed; Kaylen Andrzejewski; Eliana Andrzejewski; Colton Hatter; her great-grandchildren: Ava and Mabel; her brother: Pat (Patty) Parks of Granger, IN; and Tom Parks of Pennsylvania.; two nephews Tadd and Brett Parks of Granger, IN.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Betty Parks; her husband, Dennis Andrzejewski; her infant daughter, Amber Marie Andrzejewski; and her brothers: John Andrzejewski and Don Andrzejewski.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN).

A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).

Memorial donations may be made to Marshall County Humane Society (P.O. Box 22, Plymouth, IN 46563).
