Kimberly Sue (Hutchings) Ringle formerly of Plymouth

Kimbrely Sue (Hutchings) Ringle, of South Bend, fondly also referred to as “Kimmie”, departed this world on April 5th, 2022 at the age of 64.  She was taken from us suddenly of natural causes at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

She was born in Plymouth, IN on April 29th, 1957 to the late Robert Hutchings and Phyllis Jean (Batta) Hutchings who preceded her in death along with her sister Debra (Hutchings) Hepler.

She spent a large part of her childhood at her aunt and uncle’s farm, the VanVactor’s.  She had many fond memories of her extended family and working on the farm.  She quickly became friends with the migrant families who worked there that became lifelong friends.  She attended Plymouth High School where she was a sprinter on the track team and a member of the choir.

She gave birth to her daughter April (Jeff) Daugherty of South Bend, the day before her 21st birthday.  Celebrating their birthdays together every year since.  Kim was insanely proud of her daughter and her grandchildren Blayne Doll, Caden Daugherty, and Karrigan Daugherty all of South Bend.  She was very actively involved in their lives and was the best grandma ever.  She will fondly be remembered for her masterful coloring skills with her grandchildren.

Also surviving are her brother Robert “Bob” Hutchings of Rochester, many nieces and nephews, and her dog Bobby whom she loved dearly.

Kimmie worked in fiberglass manufacturing most of her life.  She worked at Ristance, Aker Plastics, and Bremen Glass, making numerous friends along the way.  She “Worked Hard for the Money” as she commonly sang to in kareoke.  She retired as disabled in 2008, from the terminal illness COPD.  In her later years she became very fragile and struggled hard to maintain her health.

Kimmie wore her heart on her sleeve but wasn’t afraid to tell anyone how it is.  Her friends and family remember her for the spunky, social, jokester that she was.  She made fast friends everywhere she went because she had a magnetic personality.  She was real, caring, and thoughtful.  When not socializing, she loved listening to music, watching TV, and Notre Dame Sports.  Her favorite celebrities were Lucille Ball, Perry Mason, Michael Jackson, and Bruno Mars.  She was also an avid fan of crime dramas.  She was most proud of her encounter with Hulk Hogan while on vacation at Clearwater Beach.  She never missed a Notre Dame football game and loved their women’s basketball program too.

“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.”― Michael Jackson
