Larry Hatcher, Jr., 49, of Plymouth

Larry Hatcher, Jr., age 49, of Plymouth passed away January 6, 2023 at St Joe Health System Mishawaka Hospital after an acute illness.  He was born on March 18, 1973, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Larry Sr and Joyce (Nier) Hatcher.   He was a graduate of Plymouth High School and continued his education at Ivy Tech.  On December 30, 2017, he married Jeanine Xaver, who survives.

Larry started his career at the City of Plymouth Wastewater Treatment Facility when he was 19.  He proudly served the residents and utility customers for 30 years, working his way up through the department under the tutelage of Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson.  He was Assistant Superintendent, Pre-Treatment Coordinator and earned the designation of Wastewater Class 4 Municipal Operator and Wastewater Class D Industrial Operator from the State of Indiana.

Larry had recently renovated his house and was handy at all kinds of projects.  He had a really big heart and often helped family and friends on their home projects and vehicles as well.  He liked to travel, ride his motorcycle  and visit with his favorite people.  Larry was a self-taught computer whiz and enjoyed trouble shooting computer problems.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeanine; his mother, Joyce, his step-son, Zachary Bridgman, his sister Kathy Hatcher and her children Mariah Norwick, Justin (Kaytlyn) Nettrouer and their children, all of whom he adored.  He was very close to his extended family as well, especially the Weaver family: Dennis, Sue, Jim, Beth Ann and Terry, and his uncle, Bill Nier.  Larry leaves behind his close friends Donnie Davidson, Chris Davidson, Jim and MaryAnn Hickman, “Momma Kay” and John Metsker.

Larry was preceded in passing by his dad, Larry Hatcher, Sr., his grandparents, and his in-laws.
