Maria H. Elston, age 59 of Bremen, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 in her home.
Maria was born to Armando C. and Guadalupe (Rodriguez) Tapia on June 2, 1963 in Plymouth, IN. Maria graduated from Plymouth High School in 1981. She married Dudley Dean Elston, Jr. on November 29, 1985 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2016. She worked as Buncher (Wire Extruder Machinist) at International Wire Group of Bremen, IN. She was an avid dog lover, treating them as her kids, a Steelers football fan, and she loved Facebook interactions with music and dog groups.
Maria is survived by her mother, Guadalupe Tapia of Plymouth, IN; her brothers: Phillip Tapia of Plymouth, IN; David R. (Dawn) Tapia of Plymouth, IN; Armando R. Tapia of Grovertown, IN; Daniel R. Tapia of Plymouth, IN; and Oscar (Crystal) Tapia of Plymouth, IN; her sisters, Diana (Eddie) Spencer of Lubbock, TX; Grace M. (Michael) Jernstrom of Bremen, IN; along with many niece, nephews, and cousins.
Maria is preceded in death by her father, Armando Tapia, and her husband, Dudley Elston.
Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Celebration Service will follow on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
