Marion Dee “Bub” Lowry, 83, of Plymouth

Marion Dee “Bub” Lowry, 83, of Plymouth passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.

Born on March 26, 1941, in Argos, Indiana he was the son of John A. and Wanda (Taylor) Lowry. Through Rural Youth, Bub met his best friend and On July 18, 1964, he married Barbara Albrecht, she survives.

Bub worked for Sibley Foundry for 30 years and Carter Lumber for 10 years before retiring in 1999. A man with a great sense of humor, who loved to joke or pull a prank just to witness the reaction that he would get out of them. Bub had a general sense of peace and love towards his family and a gentle giant to so many.

He enjoyed fishing in Minnesota, Canada and Indiana. Getting 18 holes in at the golf course was usually never too far behind on his list. Bub was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Plymouth and St. Faustina Catholic Church in Clermont; Fl. Bub was also a member of the Plymouth Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of Plymouth; sons: Daniel (Lori) Lowry of Plymouth; Matthew (Kelly) Lowry of the Lake of the Woods; Alan Lowry of Plymouth; grandchildren: Allison (Adam) Reuber, Kaylee (Nick) Rhodes, Amelia Lowry, Mya Thorton; great-grandchildren: Wade, Payson, Parker, Baker; sister Patricia Steiner as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bub is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandra Cox.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 4-7 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.

Mass of a Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 am St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 612 Walnut Street, Plymouth, IN 46563 with Fr. Fernando Jimenez officiating. Visitation will resume at 10:00 am at the church.

Burial will take place in the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Michael’s Catholic Church or to the Poor Handsmaid of Jesus Christ Associates, P.O. Box 1, Donaldson, IN 46513.
