Marjorie P. Mewszel, 72, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in Ernestine Raclin House Center for Hospice Care of Mishawaka, IN.
Marjorie was born to William Clyde and Esther Mae (Powers) McCoige on September 29, 1951 in Plymouth, IN. She married James Mewszel on July 4, 1988 and he survives. She worked for Miller’s Merry Manor of Plymouth as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 741 and women of the Moose Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, campfires, card games, and baking blueberry pies for the Moose Lodge.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, James; her godson, Tony Weaver; her brother, Bruce (Shirley) McCoige of Peoria, IL; along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Esther McCoige; her sisters: Susie Denny; and Bonnie Hundt; and her brothers: Jim McCoige; and William McCoige.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563) with Pastor Kayla Grehl officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation (30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016-5337 or https://www.kindey.org) in honor of Marjorie.
