Martha A. Baker, 93, of Plymouth

Martha A. Baker, 93, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home of Plymouth, IN.

Martha was born on November 29, 1931 to Guy and Ethel (Hall) Roahrig in Bourbon, IN. She was a lifelong resident of Bourbon, IN. She married Charles “Bill” Baker on February 4, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 3, 2013. She was a housewife and she and her husband owned their own dairy farm. She enjoyed helping with the farm and had her own tractor.

Martha is survived by her daughters: Pat Kuskye of Plymouth, IN; Charlotte (Jay) Stone of Plymouth, IN; her son, Sam (Rose) Baker of Land of Lakes, FL; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Roahrig.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Ethel Roahrig; her husband, Charles Baker; her granddaughter, Molly Elizabeth; and her sister, Mary Helvey, her brothers: Morris Roahrig; Marvin Roahrig; and her sister-in-law, Jeanie Roahrig.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563) with Pastor Bob Goebel of Traditions Hospice officiating.

The burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).
