Melba L. Hamman, age 82 of Plymouth, IN, passed away on December 7, 2022 in Plymouth, IN surrounded by her loving family.
Melba was born to John and Helen (Watkins) Hollar on October 26, 1940 in Nappanee, IN. She married Kenneth G. Hamman on June 15, 1957 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2022. She belonged to Jehovah’s Witness Church of Rochester, IN. She enjoyed her role as wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Melba also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Bible studies, family vacations, gardening, and cooking. Whether it was something around the home, a flower in her garden, or an item she wore, Melba loved the color purple. She also touched the hearts of those she met, especially children.
Melba is survived by her sons: Terry Hamman of Plymouth, IN; Jerry Hamman (Greta Schrimsher) of Plymouth, IN; her brothers: Bill Hollar of Argos, IN; Jim Hollar of Argos, IN; Carl (Clara) Hollar of Argos, IN; and her grandson, Cody Hamman of Plymouth, IN.
Melba is preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Hollar; her husband, Kenneth Hamman; her brothers, Richard Hollar; Lowell Hollar; and Harvey Hollar.
A celebration of life will be held in Argos Community Park at a later date for both Melba and Kenneth.
