Michael D. Porman, age 32, of Culver, IN, passed away, after bravely battling ALS, (Lou Gehrig’s disease) for the last 4 years, on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in his home with his family by his side.
Michael was born to Philip and Tammy (Somers) Porman on March 11, 1990 in Mishawaka, IN. He was an Atterbury Job Corps graduate and was a foundry worker for Kennametal. He loved gaming worldwide with his friends and was known as “Curb”. He also loved to fish with his father, and he loved his family with all his heart.
Michael is survived by his father, Philip Porman (Shelly Siade) of Culver, IN; his grandmother, Sharon Wood of Culver IN; his sister, Crystal Porman (Jarvis Long), along with their children: Gage and Giana Long; his cats: Yoshi and Totoro; his best friend, Adam and the entire Lazo family; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; along with his special caregivers from hospice: Denise Robles; Alex Holloway; and Suzanne Overmyer.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Tammy; his grandfathers: Cecil Porman; Wayne Wood; and his grandparents, Wiley and Mary Somers.
Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned at this time.
