Michael H. Caslow, 73, of Plymouth passed away on November 2, 2024 at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Indiana in Mishawaka. Mike was born on October 3, 1951 in Rochester to Donald and Mildred (Cormican) Caslow.
A proud graduate of Argos High School, Mike graduated with the Class of 1970. He would then go on to meet the love of his life, Sheryl Bradfield. They would spend 7 years together before getting married in 1982. Together, they created countless memories as a family together with their daughter, Rachael.
Mike worked various construction jobs through the years, but he retired in 2004 from working in maintenance at Holy Cross. Mike enjoyed his time working with the Sisters and helping them with various projects through the years. After his retirement, Mike became the cook of the family; spoiling those he loved in the heart of the home, the kitchen.
In 2016, Mike and Sheryl purchased a winter home in Frostproof, FL. They cherished their time spent together and looked forward to spending time with their second family over the winters. Mike’s passion for animals was displayed when he became the neighborhood dog-sitter of Hickory Lake. Sometimes knowing the dogs names before the owners, Mike and Sheryl always had treats on their golf-cart for when they would come across a furry friend. One of the things that Mike looked forward to most was being able to work outside all year around and enjoy his flower gardens in Indiana and Florida.
Mike was enthusiastic about all things auto racing. Whether it be NASCAR on Sundays or watching drag racing, Mike looked forward to watching the upcoming race. He was an outgoing person who would do anything for anyone. His infectious laugh brought others together and will always be remembered by those who loved him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sheryl; daughter, Rachael Caslow (Mike Kessler); grand kitties, Lumos and Orion; siblings, Pat Hissong and Donna (Russell – “Buzz) Reichard; along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mildred; in-laws, Clarence and Catherine Olson; brother-in-law, Steve Hissong; and favorite grand kitty, Scruples.
