N. Clarisse (Ward) Byers, 82, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in her home.
Clarisse was born to Robert and Marie Ward on January 20, 1941 in Logansport, IN. Her early years were spent with the family at their farm homestead south of Logansport, IN. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1959 and worked in environmental service with long term care, serving as a consultant. She married G. Dean Byers on September 20, 1959 in Logansport, IN.
Clarisse will be missed by her husband, Dean; her sons: Bryan Byers of Muncie, IN and Ward Byers of Bourbon, IN; her seven grandchildren; and her twelve great-grandchildren.
Clarisse is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Beverly; and a brother, John Robert.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home (300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church (425 S. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN 46563) with Dr. William Hemmig presiding.
Burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).
Memorial donations may be made to Marshall County Habitat for Humanity (116 S. Walnut St., Plymouth, IN 46563).
