PLYMOUTH- Phyllis E. Thompson, 90, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Catherine Kasper Life Center in Donaldson.
She was born in Plymouth, Indiana on July 7, 1932, to Chester H. and Ida Ethel (Luty) Thompson. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1950, and then attended South Bend Business School.
Phyllis worked for the Plymouth Foundry until starting and owning Thompson Insurance.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as Deacon and an Elder in the church. She was also the financial secretary for the church.
Phyllis enjoyed taking long walks with her dogs, reading, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and puzzles.
She is survived by her brother Bob (Betty) Thompson of Plymouth; nephews and niece, John (Gail) Thompson, Bill (Becky) Thompson and Sara (Mark) Stukenborg; and 8 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dwaine Thompson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at the New Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel, 1300 Chester Street, Plymouth.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
