Sharie L. (Witt) Raymond, age 81 of Plymouth, IN passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in
her home. She was born April 7, 1942 to Waldemar (deceased at birth) and Yvonne (Converse)
Witt; raised by her beloved step-father, Angelo B. Genise who married her mother after
returning from World War II.
She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1960 and married the love of her life, Joseph
Charles Raymond II on May 30, 1969. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved
spending her time cooking for her family and friends and creating art. She loved to paint and
sew and designed and constructed her many crafts which she successfully sold for decades. In
her later years, she dedicated much of her life to the Catholic Church cooking food for events
and volunteering.
Sharie is survived by her loving son, Joseph Charles Raymond III, (Kimberly Jean) of Plymouth,
IN and their sons, Calvin Joseph Raymond, Benjamin Arlin Raymond, and Joseph Charles
Raymond IV; sister Arlette Genise of Milltown, WI; and a daughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Ronald and Frank Genise.
Cremation has been chosen and services will be planned at a later date. Burial will take place in
St. Michael’s Cemetery in Plymouth, IN.
