Virginia Sue Swift, 92, of Lakeville, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at We Belong Senior Home of Plymouth, IN.
Virginia was born February 7, 1932 to Francis Victor and Bessie Carmen (Dickson) Kovacs in Culver, IN. She graduated from Culver High School in 1950. She worked at Country Charm laundromat for 25 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Marcella, MI and she attended Plymouth Wesleyan Church in Plymouth, IN.
Virginia is survived by her daughters: Geraldine (LeRoy) Nettrouer of Lakeville, IN; Cindy (Roger) Eads of South Bend, IN; Sheila (James) Warren; Debra Galloway; her son: Bruce (Allena) Rust; her stepsons: David Swift; Jerry (Sue) Swift; her 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Robert Kovacs; Francis Kovacs; Donald Kovacs; Karl Kovacs; her sisters: Christina Kovacs; Ruthann Vermillion; and her stepson, John Swift.
Cremation has been chosen, and a celebration of life is planned for January 25, 2025 at Plymouth Wesleyan Church.
Memorial donations may be made to Plymouth Wesleyan Church (11203 Michigan Rd, Plymouth, IN 46563) in Virginia’s honor.
