Walter H. Hanson, age 80 of Culver, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Miller’s Merry Manor of Culver, IN.
Walter was born on December 27, 1942 to Walter O. and Myrtle (Gustafson) Hanson in Chicago, IL. He received his G.E.D. and worked as a mailman with the United States Postal Service. He married Patricia L. Cartwright on November 21, 1987 and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2010. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion in New London, Wisconsin.
Walter is survived by his brothers: John (Rosemary) Hanson of McHenry, IL; and Sven (Patricia) Hanson of Plymouth, IN.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Walter O. and Myrtle Hanson, and his brother, Ralph Hanson.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at New Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN).
