WARSAW - Plymouth’s Justin Moser led the way for the Plymouth boys swim team as he captured the individual title in diving at the Warsaw swim sectional on Saturday. Moser had a top score of 235.25 in the semi-finals and topped it with a 331.15 in the finals to best senior Travis Shull of Tippecanoe Valley for the win. CMA got a double wins from Forrest Baumgarnter in the 50 free with a 21.25 and a 47.34 in the 100 free, As a team Plymouth finished fifth with a score of 171. Warsaw took the title with a 421 team score followed by Columbia City with a 315, CMA with a 290 and Rochester with a 287. Plymouth got top eight finishes from Alex Vancza with a fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.79, and fourth in the 100 breast stroke at 1:04.44, Kirk Hettich in the 100 backstroke with a seventh place time of 1:03.01. CMA had top eight finishes from Pierce Ellert had a 1:55.25 in the 200 freestyle for sixth place and a seventh place 5:22.19 in the 500 free, Francis Ellert had a fifth place 2:11.11 in the 200 IM and an eighth place 5:29.54 in the 500 free, Hoikei Pan had a fifth place 59.99 in the 100 butterfly, James Gordon with a fifth in the 100 backstroke at 1:01.47 and Nikolas Warnholtz Deck with a sixth place in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:09.71. CMA had three relays in the top eight placing the 200 medley relay team of James Gordon, Nikolas Warnholtz Deck, Francis Ellert, and Juan Pablo Padilla third with a time of 1:48.46, and a third place finish from the 200 free relay team of Pan, Pierce Ellert, Marc Yanez and Baumgartner and a second place from the 400 free relay team of Pan, Pierce Ellert, Francis Ellert and Baumgartner with a 3:19.62 Plymouth had a pair of relays in the top eight with the 200 medley relay team of Kirk Hettich, Daniel Stauffer, Alex Vancza, and Andrew Cashion taking fifth with a time of 1:51.9, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Mitch Rose, Cameron Riddle, Hettich and Vance had a fourth place time of 3:41.03.
