Plymouth football falls on the road at NorthWood

NorthWood scored touchdowns while Plymouth moved the ball but failed to capitalize with points in a Panther win at Andrews Field, 42-7.

NorthWood (4-2, 2-2 NLC) scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters before Plymouth tallied its only score on a Finn Holm touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

"We are moving the ball on offense again but need to find a way to finish with points. I was pleased with our defensive effort most of the night. We were in position to make the play but a couple times they just made the play. We are getting better every week and we are looking forward to being home for senior night next week," said Rockies coach Adam Handley.

For Plymouth, quarterback Exzander Ramirez was 16-of-24 passing for 115 yards. He also rushed 10 times for 42 yards.

Holm picked up 82 rushing yards on 19 carries to go with his touchdown.

Aden Vandusen, getting more snaps with the loss of Blake Mackey to injury, caught four passes for 60 yards.

Defensively, Jaden Yates had an interception to go with four tackles. Chris Johnson recorded five tackles for the Rockies.

Plymouth (2-4, 1-3 NLC) will host Goshen on Senior Night Friday. Goshen (0-6, 0-4 NLC) was shutout by Concord on Friday, 42-0.

Goshen is riding a nine-game losing streak dating back to last year's win over Plymouth on September 30, 7-6. The Redhawks have been outscored by opponents this season, 225-56.
