“Crown Point has a strong team and program and we hung right with them. I thought we showed a lot of mental toughness in this match. Sophia
battled back to win her match after losing the first set, and Marley and Emma battled back from a 5-2 second set deficit to win their match in straight sets.
Overall, Natalie and Lydia played a nice match against a strong opponent at 2D. We had chances in the super tiebreaker and couldn't close it out, but they had a lot of positive moments and positive takeaways from their match. Even Tynley played a lot of good points and rallies against an All State player from last year, so I’m very encouraged by how we played as a team. Sometimes there is just no substitute for experience, and playing these good opponents and getting put into these pressure situations will only make us a better team moving forward, " said Plymouth coach Brad Haeck.
The Plymouth Girls Tennis Team rebounded from the earlier loss with a clean sweep of a solid Kankakee Valley team.
1S Tynley Gantz, 2S Sophia Cantero, 3S Mia Hartley, and 2D Marisa Langfeldt-Natalie Sheely all won their matches in straight sets.
