The center provided services to 53 clients, distributed 1,156 baby items, and welcomed two babies born to clients in August.
The Parke-Vermillion Community Pregnancy Center recently shared highlights from a busy and impactful summer, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable community members, particularly expecting mothers and their unborn children.
Since July 1st, the center has had 53 appointments for a variety of services, including pregnancy tests, classes, and the distribution of much-needed baby supplies. Of those, two appointments led to scheduled pregnancy tests, while 38 clients enrolled in classes. The center also provided an impressive 1,156 items, including diapers, wipes, and miscellaneous baby supplies to families in need.
Additionally, the center's outreach through its website's nurse chat widget saw 31 online chats with new clients seeking advice and services from the center’s Infinite Worth nurse providers.
The organization maintained a visible presence in the community by participating in several local events, such as the Parke County Fair, Clinton National Night Out, and Parade Night at the Little Italy Festival. The center also continues to support the Safe Haven Baby Box at the Clinton Fire Department by covering the monthly alarm system fees.
One of the center's most joyous summer milestones was the birth of two healthy baby girls in August. These children were born to clients enrolled in the center's Earn While You Learn program, which operates out of their Rockville location. The mothers continue to receive support and education through the program today.
August also brought a successful fundraiser, with the annual Jonah Fish Fry event, a staple for the center. The proceeds will enable the center to continue offering critical services to its clients.
In their message to supporters, the center expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ongoing prayers and contributions from the community. The team, along with their clients, extend their thanks for the continued support that enables them to provide these essential services. The Parke-Vermillion Community Pregnancy Center remains a vital resource for families, offering both practical help and emotional support, with a mission centered on care and compassion for those in need.
