\n\nDoris Ann Nicholas, 84, of Rockville, passed away November 7, 2023, at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana. She was born September 9, 1939, in Marshall, Illinois, the daughter of James Franklin and Anna Virginia Beltz Farris.\n\nDoris graduated from Marshall High School in Marshall, Illinois. She worked at Goding Shoe Factory and Zenith in Paris, Illinois. Doris enjoyed playing the organ.\n\nShe is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Dreibelbis (Rick) of Rockville; granddaughter, Lindsey Hammontree (Greg) of Rockville; 3 great-grandchildren, Madison, Jordan, and Logan Hammontree; and great-great granddaughter, Brexlee Coffman.\n\nDoris was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Bill Farris, and Richard Farris.\n\nA memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Street, Rockville, Indiana. Inurnment will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville, with Rev. Thomas McEwen officiating.\n\nMemorial contributions may be made to Life’s Journey of Avon, 10241 E.
