Edison Branch

Edison Branch, 77, of Bloomingdale, Indiana went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, March 8, 2024, at Clinton Gardens.

He was employed by Mid-States Wire for 29 years and retired from Lithonia Lighting, both in Crawfordsville.

He was born June 29, 1946, in Willacoochee, Georgia to the late Calvin Branch and Pauline White Branch Bell.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda S. Patton Branch whom he married December 16, 1973, in Bloomingdale; also surviving, two daughters, Amy (Chuck) Jones of Kingman and Carla (Rob) Mills of Columbus; one son, John (Tammy) Branch of Bloomingdale; one brother, C.J. Bell of Georgia; three grandchildren, Bryce (Harley) Neeley, Zachary Mills, and Makayla (Jacob) Lucas; two great-grandchildren, Shayley Shepard and Athena Grace Neeley.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Mack Branch and Monroe Branch: two sisters, Elouise Doan and Mary Southard.

He was a 1964 graduate of Turkey Run High School. He was a veteran serving in the Vietnam War with the United States Marines. He was a Christian and an avid reader.

Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 12, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville. Burial will follow at Bloomingdale Friends Cemetery. Visitation is 12 noon until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home.
