Frances “Fran” Robinson, 85, of Terre Haute and formerly of Parke County, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at her residence.
She was born January 10, 1940, the daughter of Paul Kent and Beulah Michael Kent. Fran married Donald Lloyd Robinson on February 26, 1960, in Dana, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2014.
Fran graduated from Rockville High School. She was a school bus driver for 18 years, driving for Turkey Run School Corporation and Southmont Schools. She also previously worked for the Rockville Flower Shop and as a gate attendant at Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area. She was a member of the American Legion Post #48 Auxiliary in Rockville.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and visiting with friends. She is survived by her son, Stacey Robinson (Bethany) of Avon; 2 daughters, Paula Price (Jeremy) of Rockville, and Ellen Goff (David) of Rockville. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Grace, Evanna, and Grant Robinson, Evan and Kyle Price, and A.J. Goff; brother-in-law Dennis Robinson; sister-in-law, Freida Kent; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; 2 brothers, Robert, and Lewis Kent; 2 sisters, Lois Cox, Betty Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
To honor Fran’s wishes, there will be no services. Her final resting place will be with her husband at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville.
