\n\nBLOOMINGDALE-Henry Allison Harper, 56, of Bloomingdale, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, in his residence.\n\nHe was the First Deputy of the Parke County Treasurer’s office. He served 25 years with the State of Indiana at the Rockville Correctional facility as a payroll clerk. He also worked for the Indiana National Guard in Terre Haute, and Family Health and Help Center and Rick’s Auto Service both in Rockville. He served as the First Deputy for the Parke County Auditor and the Clerk of the Parke Circuit Court.\n\nHe was born May 6, 1967, in Clinton, Indiana to Floyd Allen Harper and Lora Virginia Harper.\n\nSurvivors include his mother of Bloomingdale; sister, Rhonda (Phil) Nicholas of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Lloyd A. (Peggy Auman) Harper of Bloomingdale and Brad Harper of Bloomingdale; two nieces, Sarah Harper of Indianapolis, and Krystal (Rusty) Rogers of Crawfordsville; nephew, Daniel Harper of Indianapolis; two step nieces, Stacey (Joe Eoelho) Nicholas of Missouri and Wendy Wetstone of Muncie; two step-nephews, Phillip (Jeanette) Nicholas of Tucson, Arizona and Jarrod (Becky) Nicholas of Indianapolis; great nephew, Jonathan Harper; two great-nieces, Avanleigh Bose and Devine Harper.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his father and infant brother, Ronald Wayne Harper and infant nephew, Christopher Harper infant niece, Jennifer Harper.\n\nHe was a 1985 graduate of Turkey Run High School and received an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech State College. He was a 10 year 4-H member. He loved crafts and Christmastime.\n\nServices will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 7, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville. Burial will be at Bloomingdale Friends Cemetery with a dinner following at the Bloomingdale Community Center.
