\n\nBLOOMINGDALE-Homer L. Veach, 89, of Bloomingdale, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Majestic Care of Deming Park in Terre Haute.\n\nHe was a retired teacher and coach with 33 years of service.\n\nHe was born December 21, 1933, in Sesser, Illinois to the late Henry H. Veach and Estelle Rollin Veach.\n\nSurvivors include his wife of 65 years, Gloria Jean White Veach whom he married October 5, 1957. Also surviving, son, Jim (Suzann) Veach of Rockville; daughter, Terri Veach of Rockville; two grandchildren, Brandi (Shane) Vandivier and Tia (Dusty) Jovanovich; five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Ella and Sophia Vandivier and Lanie and Kinsley Jovanovich; several nieces and nephews.\n\nHe was preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Lashbrook and Wilma Montgomery; a daughter, Tammi Veach on October 21, 2022.\n\nHe graduated from Oakland City College and received his master’s degree from Western Kentucky College in Bowling Green. He served with the Indiana National Guard and was a specialist with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. He taught at Richland Township, Clinton and finished his career with 31 years at Turkey Run High School in Marshall.
