\n\nROCKVILLE-Judy Payne, 87, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Majestic Care of Terre Haute. She was a homemaker. Earlier in life she was employed by Lambert Nursery in Brazil for 16 years, A & M Cleaners in Rockville and the Rockville Flower Shop.\n\nShe was born April 2, 1936, in Brazil, Indiana to the late Marvin Spear and Mary McDonald Spear. Her husband of 61 years, Austin Dale Payne whom she married June 6, 1958, in Brazil, preceded her in death June 20, 2019.\n\nSurvivors include her son, Kevin Payne of Rockville; one sister, Joyce Seaberry of California. She was preceded in death be her daughter, Kendra Ann Engrissei on April 5, 2003, and a sister, Janice Persinger.\n\nShe was a 1954 graduate of Brazil High School and was certified in Evangelistic ministry. She was a member of the New Market United Methodist Church. She was devoted to God and evangelism serving as pastor’s wife, mother, family, homemaker, and enjoyed gardening.\n\nGraveside services will be 2:30 pm Thursday, June 15, at Calcutta Cemetery in Carbon with Pastor Tom Rushline officiating. Burial will follow.
