Lera Ann Shook-Juarez, 53, of Covington

Lera Ann Shook-Juarez, age 53, of Covington, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at home after a hard-fought battle with cancer for 2 years. She was born on November 5, 1971, to Richard A Shook and Delorene (Ball) Morrow.

Lera graduated from Lebanon High School in 1990 and married the love of her life, Arturo Juarez, on May 29, 2015, he survives. She worked at Master Guard in Veedersburg for the last 27 years as a quality coordinator. She enjoyed camping and going to the beach, but most of all she loved her family and friends. She was a big cat lover and loved taking care of people. She was very loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Arturo Juarez; her two children, Emma Wade and Maximus Juarez; all of Covington; her mother, Delorene Morrow of Florida; her stepmother, Lora Shook of Florida; seven siblings, Tessa LeBel, Jennie Wood, Nicholas Morrow, McCaa (Patrick) Erdman, Jennifer (Joseph) Misak, Jason Doty, and Brian (Brooke) Shook; her Juarez Family in Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A Shook.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care Waynetown, 202 Bratton Road in Waynetown on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 1:00pm till the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 3:00pm with Pastor Kurt Flora officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.
